Looking to make a list of supplements that "REPAIR" damage to the brain and lower tolerance. Here is what I have as of now.
-Magnesium L-Threonate
-Cerebrolysin
-Cortexin
-Selank/Semax
-Agmatine
-Memantine(still don't understand how an NMDA antagonist lowers tolerance to stims like amps)
-Lion's Mane(how effective is this one?)
-NSI-189
-Dihexa
-DHA(rebuilds nervous system's myelin sheaths/unregulated dopamine receptors)
-Uridine(rebuilds nervous system's myelin sheaths/unregulated dopamine receptors)
-B12(rebuilds nervous system's myelin sheaths/unregulated dopamine receptors)
-B9(rebuilds nervous system's myelin sheaths/unregulated dopamine receptors)
-Exercise/Cardio
Sulbutiamine(increases dopamine receptor density)
-No Fap(Constant stimulation of dopamine from jerking off is rough on your brain)

Correct me if I have any mistake please.
Bob
I have tried Lion's Mane, but did not notice any obvious effects. I still add it to a stack occasionally. You never know.

I ran out of Uridine a while back and felt very slow for two days while I waited for my new order.

I have self-injected weekly with B12 - Saturday mornings - ever since my neurologist prescribed it for my recovery from meningitis. I'm feeling pretty great right now! I tried a couple different kinds of magnesium and had bad digestive system issues. Then I got some Magnesium Threonate. My years-long battle with nighttime charlie horses ended! I suspect it's helping my brain, too.

2 things I've learned not to fuck with, 1) Dopamine 2) Serotonin. Getting really close to adding GABA to that list.

For example; say someone is on an low dose SSRI for some mild depression. She does feel very good still so she goes and the doctor changes her from on SSRI to another.

Here's the thing with Serotonin, it goes wherever it's called and amplifies it's resting place. So, if you're a really shitty person like Eric Harris or Dylan Klebold who shot up Columbine Highschool, they were both on multiple SSRIs a year before the shooting and the months leading up to it. Their suicidal and homicidal ideation was literally being fed by the SSRIs sending their Serotonin to angry part of the brain. Whereas, if they'd had positive influences and way to enjoy rather time, the SSRIs would have sent Serotonin to their happiness center.

Infact, over of 2/3rds of mass shooters have been found to have been taken SSRIs long-term or have had it show up in the tox screen a pathologist runs.

Dopamine is similar but it's more so easily depleted from your brain that taking multiple Dopaminergic substances runs the risk of downregulation which is serious for Dopamine. I made the mistake of mixing 2 Dopaminergic substances the other day. Day was STELLAR until I started getting brain zaps on the come down. Lesson learned. Lol

How come no one mentioned low dose Lithium? I think orotate is the preferred form. There's an abundance of literature about its natural stabilizing properties, suppressing overactive glutamate and excitotoxicity (assumably via NMDA antagonism and/or calcium channel reduction), my guess is its more powerful than magnesium to this effect hence why such a small (and carefully monitored) dose is suggested.

I was looking for this and just found it- enhancement of tight barrier function is effectuated by quercetin, butyrate, zinc and indole, all of which exhibit different patterns. They are all candidates for as yet undiscovered synergies and the zinc and quercetin increase transepithelial electrical resistance. I would like to hear about any further information regarding them.
