Hello, I'm new to this, can anyone recommend some to try for my first time - mainly for tiredness, fatigue, foggy headed and generally just feeling crappy all the time.
i'm feeling a bit overwhelmed with all the articles etc and can't make a decision - can't concentrate and take it all in!
healthwise - i have a few troublesome issues but nothing major - i just need some energy!
Is it possible to get a sort of 'sample pack'? just to try things out first - i have bought things in the past and found they gave me a headache or made me a feel a bit sickly - cant remember what now, but its frustrating buying a whole bottle only to waste it! = thanks!

For me Modafinil does work for 100% I use generic version, Modalert, mind the dosage though, most people, like myself, can do with lower dosages (50 mg) to avoid most of the side effects and use it ocassionally, definitely not for every day use. I only use it when I know that I have to be super alert. And try to take it ealy in the morning. Just general guidelines of my experience with it :) .. good luck!

try lions mane mushroom if that ends up working great for you- you might have nervous system issues
Josh
Modafinil is for chronic fatigue

Have you tried a white vein during the day and a red vein at night? That's a good place to start. Chronic fatigue is treated with the afinils as they are actually a nootropic compared to amphetamines. I'm using CRL and it has somewhat helped my fatigue.

You have multiple psychotropic agents to apply, depending on what affects you want, neurotransmitter systems you want to target, and any pharmacokinetic considerations you may have regarding drug interactions. You can try l-tyrosine for enhanced monoaminergic transmission, nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide for enhanced adenosine triphosphate synthesis , an adenosine antagonist like caffeine , ETC...

Depends what you personally need. Different body, different cause of fatigue.

Try orexin A, n-acetyl-tyrosine, caffeine, low dose l-theanine, vitamin b-complex, a good diet, proper sleep schedule.. there are lots of factors you can do something about but again it depends what's causing your problems

ashwaghanda +rhodiola. Great noots.
Sid
Modafinil or armodafinil, but it's not nootropics.

Methylcobalamin and methylfolate at your right dose help for dopamin and norepinephrine both increasing energy and mood.
Decrease inflammation. Stress, poor diet, sleep deprivations, etc, cause inflammation so your body wastes energy on them.

Tiredness? Well. That's a hard one. One should ideally look at your diet and bloodwork, or ask you a series of questions about your life, sleep, diet, health, to determine why you're fatigued. Then make recommendations based on that.

But - broad brushing it, I'd say:

500MG ALCAR

300MG ALA

1000MG DHA

Complex B vitamin

Complex mineral supplement, that includes iodine and selenium.

Ashwagandha, maybe high dose bacopa which has shown anxiolytic properties. Conversely, Bacopa can also have cholinergic excitatory effects, so your mileage may vary.

Tyrosine or N-Acetyl Tyrosine are also extremely effective for fatigue...though I would prefer rhodiola.

Theo

L-Theanine with 1 gram Magnesium L-Threonate and 1 gram Taurine (yeah I know, not herbs) along with lemon balm tea and some Ashwagandha works miracles for me, a sufferer of generalised anxiety disorder and panic disorder (amongst other shit).

Problem with fatigue is usually mitochondria related. The first three compounds I mentioned are to fix this. Your brain will also benefit from those. The Noopept or Semax is for better cognition and overall brain health. Both together will cost you about 50-75$ a month.

Tiredness and getting nothing done sounds like some mornings after difficult weeks. I do not work, I do not rest. Alcohol helps to rest but it is very bad on energy. Nicotine helps to sustain work activity even ehen depressed and is reward like chocolate. The third recreational is better but chronic use is antinootropic and attacks crystallized intelligence. Quetiapine guarantees quality sleep. Caffeine drinks... I like to drink them but large doses chronically feel bad for body. Methylene blue is mood stabilizer but ketogenic diet is much more powerful. I have not yet much experience with catuaba and tongkat ali. Agents that expand the set of possible mind states and support cognitive wellbeing (task positive network) are psychically difficult but can support good intents and counteract depression.

For Fatigue you need to attack two aspects: 1) Dopaminergic problem: Dopaminergics like: Selegiline, 9 methyl Beta Carboline, Bromantane. Or the Uridine Stack, is good for motivation and rebuilt the dopaminergic receptors, you can also add Rhodiola Rosea.

2) Mitochondrial problem: ALCAR, PQQ, CoQ10, Shilajit

For me is more difficult beat a dopaminergic problem than depression.

Try to do and Histadelia test... perhaps you have a mutation in the MTHFR gene, read about that.. if you are histadelic you only need to take l-methylfolate and hydroxycobalamin and your life will change in 360° :)
