Whats the best nootropic stack for helping with coding/programming?
Pete
It doesn't work like that. But I'm sure someone will be along to sell you snake oil any minute now.
Matt
Try Phenyl-P or Coluracetam. Both have a push that seems to help with programming.
James
No nootropic is going to to help you code. It may help you for motivation, or staying awake, or thinking clearly. lol You should revise your statement before a few dozen try to make the same point by telling you that they have amazing snake oil that they can sell you and it'll also cure cancer. It costs a bit, but can you really put a price on your well being?

I am a programmer. My english is not very good. 3 years ago I could no longer work. I was dumb and can't do coding anymore. That was when I started to read about biohacking. My wonderful stack is: - Betaine HCL (200mg or 400mg), because I need to mantain my stomach acid; Without betaine, I can't digest very well. And is hard to think when I am bloated; 3 times a day, before eat; - Himalayan pink salt; a very little when I wake up; - SAMe (in the morning); - Zinc (10 mg in the morning); - Coffe + butter (in the morning); sometimes afternoon too; - Cod liver oil; in the morning; - Don't eat in the morning; - Glutamine, 5g or 10g when I tired; - Vitamin C, from 1g to 4g each time (if I am with sinus, I use a lot, best thing, Dave Asprey do this too, he uses 12g of vitamin C everyday (3 x 4g). I used 10g in a day once, when I had a sinus infection: works); - Piracetam, if I need to speak to others; - Acetylcisteine + Glutamine stack, if I will sleep less than 4 hours; - B complex (lunch); - Eat fat, protein and little carbs; - NADH + CoQ10 when I tired or when I know that I will work a lot; can't use everyday, gives me insomnia if I use more than 3 days in a row; Modafinil works for me just for 3 days. More than this, I start to have headaches and sneeze a lot; High histamine, I think; To sleep, magnesium, melatonin sometimes (1g), valerian root sometimes Don't eat bread, stay away from gluten helps. I can now work 2 to 3 times more than before. I have the best focus of my life. I have quick recall. Quick reflexes. And I am a better programmer today. And I have 45 years but it looks like I'm 35;

I'm surprised L-Tyrosine/Rhodiola stack isn't brought up here..., it's so good for coding & Clovis' noots recommendations likely will not suit you.. if you exercise - low carbing is not a good idea... get a choline source if you don't have eggs available & regarding sleep if that's an issue add creatine monohydrate or gluconate... in sleep deprived subjects there are studies proving its effectiveness on the brains use of creatine as well as skeletal muscle,

gee to the question. i dont often admit to having started programming in grade 4 and spent some time in high school at UofT in their AI department on modelling monkey vision physiology. thats where I got my start in cognitive physiology. I dropped all computer work ten years ago as the people suck. I turned my large scale systems analysis interests to sports nutrition and natural performance enhancement. I am satisfied that semi-pro and pro athletes tell me that my food creations and brain tonic has upped their game and mental state.
Yes every aspect of your brain that is involved in every aspect of computer programming can be enhanced.
Both Blue Lotus and Syrian Rue on their own increases linguistic comprehension, memory and concise representation of ideas and clear completion of thoughts.
Verbal Articulation of Dream Symbols and increase in poetic language.
no this is not my opinion. I have had this tested on many people.
Programmers will make less errors, reducing trouble shooting. Will see larger systems with more factors to keep track of and come up with creative solutions faster. Will think in code more clearly and concisely then fly through the keyboard with notably less typos.
Really you people need to try Rue just a dozen seeds at a time. It kind of amplifies anything you focus on.
Id love to pay for a large scale placebo controlled double blind study but that is not in my budget and apparently the govt thinks you should not be havin those hamallas anyway. naturally they just want to protect people right.

nootropics will not give you logic... play logic games to stimulate that part of the brain.
I swear by the PRL and colu combo while studying for better recall. Syntax is a bitch and if you remember the little things it will be easier.
