Does anyone know of a prescription drug that could replace or is similar to Tianeptine? I have BPD, depression, and anxiety. The current medicine I’m taking is I think making me overeat at night, which I really, really hate because it’s affecting my mood, and it might be making me sleep too much... I think the best thing about Tianeptine is that it has almost no side effects, unless you take too much, but pretty much all or most of these prescription drugs have a long list of side effects... I just need something that can stabilize my moods and my insurance pays for prescriptions.. any suggestions? Thank you!!!

Read The Power of Now, learn meditation, and don't identify with any diagnosis. Otherwise you'll be on the hunt for the next fix every second of your life. You can't ingest a fix when you're just about to sleep or when you just relax without anything when the meds stop working. The fix never lasts. Better to learn how to find peace in yourself no matter which situation you're in. If you need tools to reduce anxiety while progressing to self-reliance I can recommend 200mg theanine 1-3 times a day. It's beneign and won't contribute to further deterioration in the long run like prescription meds do.

Also, what are you eating? Reduce all foods that contribute to inflammation.

I wish you all the best.

Tianeptine is an atypical tricycling antidepressant. It is a μ-opioid receptor agonist. Because of this some people claim it is an opioid, however it has the highest effective to lethal dose ratio of any of the tricyclics and I personally used it, along with kratom, for diabetic peripheral neuropathy pain over a period about a year and when I healed sufficiently I stopped using it with no withdrawal symptoms what-so-ever. It is really quite unique so there isn't any direct replacement. My doctor recommended a different tricyclic which he was familiar with but it was not effective for me.
